The German Telecommunications Act (Telekommunikationsgesetz, TKG) puts figures on what applies in the event of an outage, insufficient bandwidth and when switching provider. Here you will find the most important entitlements, with their conditions and sources.
If your connection consistently falls short of the promised performance, that counts as a defect — proven with the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) measurement.

Who is behind Internet-Günstiger?
Internet-Günstiger comes from the same company as Strom-Guenstiger.de and Gas-Guenstiger.de: it is run by Thinkstars GmbH, based in Bad Zwischenahn. The portals were founded by Tim Jungeblut, who now runs them together with co-founder Max Jungeblut.
Where does the tariff data come from?
The comparison is provided by our partner Verivox. Tariff data, selection, order and the sign-up process come from Verivox; not every provider, especially not every regional one, is listed there. The assessment beforehand – needs, technology and total cost – comes from our editorial team.
What happens to the information I enter?
Our calculators run in your browser, with no sign-up. Only when you start a comparison are your selection and technical data such as your IP address sent to Verivox. No Verivox content is loaded before that.
