We design Internet-Guenstiger to use as little data as possible. External Verivox comparisons are only loaded once you actively allow them.

Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process your e-mail address, the content of your message and any information you voluntarily provide in order to handle your enquiry. For contract-related enquiries, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (DSGVO); for all other enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in responding under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (DSGVO). We delete the correspondence once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations or the protection of legal claims require us to keep it for longer.

2. Provision of the website

When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data is processed, in particular your IP address, the time of access, the resource requested, the referrer, and browser and system information. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (DSGVO). The logs are created and stored by our host; Hostinger does not publish a fixed retention period for them. We do not analyse them for analytics or marketing purposes and only consult them where necessary to fix faults or fend off attacks. According to Hostinger, data is processed in the Netherlands, Lithuania, Cyprus and the United Kingdom, among other places; the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom. The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaka, Cyprus, which acts on our behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR (DSGVO). The connection between your browser and the server is encrypted using TLS.

3. Local calculators

The needs calculators offered on Internet-Guenstiger run in your browser. Your entries are neither transmitted to Thinkstars nor to a comparison partner, and they are not stored permanently.

4. Audience measurement

No external analytics services are integrated into this website, and nothing from third parties is loaded before you click to start a comparison. Anything you enter into our local calculators stays in your browser. Only when you start a comparison is your selection sent to Verivox and a Verivox partner identifier called, which Verivox uses to attribute sign-ups to our website and settle our commission (see “Verivox”). The technically necessary server logs used to deliver the website are separate from this.

5. Verivox comparison

The external comparison provided by Verivox GmbH is only loaded when you press the corresponding button. Your browser then connects to Verivox; in the process, your comparison selection, IP address, browser data, and partner and campaign identifiers may be processed, and external technologies may be used. The legal basis for loading it is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (DSGVO) and § 25(1) TDDDG, which you give by clicking. So that a comparison can start without another click after a redirect within the same browser session, we remember your consent in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage); the entry disappears when you close the tab. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: click “Change selection” or close the tab, and the calculator is removed and will not load again by itself. You can delete cookies already set by Verivox in your browser settings; details are in the Verivox privacy notice. The provider is Verivox GmbH, Max-Jarecki-Straße 21, 69115 Heidelberg. We are jointly responsible with Verivox for embedding the calculator and the transfer to Verivox this triggers (Art. 26 GDPR); we will provide the essence of this arrangement on request. Verivox alone is responsible for any further processing within the comparison and when you sign a contract. Only use the comparison if you agree to it being loaded.

6. External links

Links open other websites. strom-guenstiger.de and gas-guenstiger.de also belong to Thinkstars GmbH; Verivox is an external provider. The privacy notice of the respective website applies to data processing on that website.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. An informal message to the e-mail address above is sufficient.

7. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR (DSGVO), you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw any consent you have given with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony Data Protection Commissioner), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.
