Which connection technology should I check first?
If a full fibre connection is available, it is worth checking that first, because it offers the most headroom. Cable and DSL follow, depending on what is offered at your location with a stable data rate. Mobile-based solutions are mainly useful if no suitable fixed-line connection is available.
Does the technology check replace an availability check?
No. The check prioritises by living situation and requirements, but it doesn't know the state of the network at your specific address. Only an availability check using your full address and the provider's subsequent order check give you a binding answer.
