How many Mbit/s do I really need?
Less than the advertising suggests. Streaming in 4K needs around 25 Mbit/s, working from home with video calls about 10, normal browsing barely a measurable amount. What matters is what runs at the same time in your household — not the number on the tariff sheet. The speed check calculates exactly that and shows you the result along with how it was worked out.
Are my entries saved?
No. All four calculators run entirely in your browser. There is no sign-up, nothing is sent to us, and if you reload the page everything starts from scratch. We never see your figures.
How accurate are the results?
As accurate as your entries allow — and we say so on every calculator page. We disclose the formula and name what the model doesn't know. An effective price over 24 months is accurate to the euro if you enter the terms correctly; an availability forecast for your address, on the other hand, is something we cannot provide at all.
